This building was torn down as part of an urban renewal project in Media, in the late 1960s. Media Fire Hook & Ladder Co. No. 1 occupied the first floor of the building.

Originally called Cony Meade or Conny Meade, this 40-room mansion was later known as "the Castle." It burned in 1981.
